MANAGEMENT
Skorpion Zinc will adopt and effectively implement an integrated risk management system that will ensure the realisation of our vision to establish Skorpion Zinc as the leader of excellence in the global zinc market.

We will ensure that detailed risk assessments are clone on all potential high risk facilities and activities. Training will be provided to employees and contractors to facilitate the implementation of this management system.

Skorpion Zinc will appropriately respond to and manage emergencies. We commit to have emergency response teams enabled to respond to emergency situations through appropriate training and support In this respect emergency procedures have been established, will be maintained and practiced.

ENVIRONMENTAL, SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC SUSTAINABILITY
We are committed to protect and conserve the environment, in which we live and work through reduced and efficient use of natural resources, the minimisation waste products and the safe disposal of all our waste generated through our activities. We will prevent and mitigate air, water and ground pollution through appropriate monitoring, research and the application of new technology. Skorpion Zinc will maintain a comprehensive sustainable development plan.

COMMUNICATION
We will communicate openly with local communities and those other communities on which we depend. We will seek to build positive and constructive relationships that enhance the capacity of all parties.

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
We are committed to continuous improvement through the setting and reviewing of performance objectives and targets. We will submit ourselves to regular independent audits and performance assessments. We will report on findings.

This policy applies to all activities of Skorpion Zinc including the operations at Luderitz and the residential areas of Skorpion Zinc in Rosh Pinah.
