REFINERY
METALLURGICAL PROCESSES : In contrast to the majority of zinc deposits world-wide, which contain
zinc primarily as the sulphide mineral sphalerite, Skorpion

MINING
GEOLOGY : The Skorpion zinc deposit occurs within volcano-sedimentary rocks
of the Late Proterozoic Port Nolloth Zone of the Pan-African Gariep Belt. The geological setting represents an initial rift phase with
crustal extension and strong vertical tectonics that is associated with subaqueous, mixed siliciclastic-carbonate sedimentation. MORE>>
